K-Con Version 2012.1

As promised …
Gamers World will be offering a 5 round 1000 point 40K tournament on Saturday February 11th. Capacity will be max 32 players.
There is no reservation of tickets for this event. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis for those who wish to purchase them.
Tickets are available after 10:00 Friday 13th January 2012 and can only be secured by following the instructions in the rulespack.

The TO reserves the right to update rulespack based on questions received.

Conquer 40k event

Hey all!
My name is Daire and I am the chairman of a new wargamming club called WarSoc set up in Thurles, LIT Tipperary.
WarSoc are running “Conquer”, a one day Warhammer 40k event in Thurles, on the 18th of February. The tournament will be held in the college campus of LIT Tipperary Thurles. It will be a 1000 point tournament with standard force organisation rules. It will be €5 entry on the day and five games shall be played. There will be a maximum capacity of 32 players for the tournament.
Conquer will be our first event and we hope to share it with ye all, mostly we want to just have some fun! See ye all on the 18th!
King of the Gnoblars 2012

Following Barry Lynch’s victory at the inaugural event in 2011, King of the Gnoblars returns for a second year this March. The Wargaming Association of Cork invites Warhammer Fantasy Battle players from all walks of gaming life to come and compete for the title of 2012 champion.
The event will run in UCC on the 3rd and 4th of March and will cost €10/person or €40 for a team ticket of 5 people.
NWG 2011
Aug 11th
NWG 2011 will take place on the weekend of September 16th-18th in the Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey. The Fantasy and 40k events take place on the Saturday and Sunday. We have the venue booked for pickup games on the Friday evening and there will be demonstrations of Infinity on the Saturday evening.

Malicon – 30ss Malifaux tournament.

Hi lads and lasses.
I’m planning a 30 soulstone Malifaux tournament to be held in Corks Other Realms on the 4th of September. It’s a three round event with details in the attached rulespack. Exact time and duration of the event is tbc, though I’m looking at starting late morning and ending around 6pm.
If anyone is interested in attending, throw your name down here and I’ll add you to the list!

Road to Glory Series

The Road to Glory Series returns this September and October in Gamers World Dublin. Further information to come.
Road to Glory II : The Revenge – Saturday September 3rd, Gamers World Dublin, 10am. 1000 points Fantasy. 4 games. Non-ranking. €10.
Road to Glory III : Mercury Rising – Saturday October 1st, Gamers World Dublin, 10am. 1250 points Fantasy. 4 games. Non-ranking. €10.
All welcome. Please note that players may attend as many or as few of the Road to Glory events as they wish. Free doughnuts will be provided (I’m not making that mistake again).
Entry fees break down as follows – €5 to the shop for tables. €3 for prizes for the current event. €2 retained for overall series prizes.
Full rulespacks with composition systems will be posted soon. One event will have very little comp, the other will have more.

Encore – Warhammer 40K Tournament

Encore is hosting a Warhammer 40K tournament on the Saturday (27th) During the Event.
It will consist of 3 Game with a set army list of 1500pts, Each Game shall last 2 hours (with extra time if needed).
Entry For tournament will be £6 and will include:
Unlimited Tea & coffee,Orange Juice
and Biscuits
Held at: Magee University, MF Building (beside the bottom car park), University of Ulster – Magee, Derry (Londonderry)
