Hey rob,

Would have loved to make this as it is extremely interesting comp and a change in scenario as well but I am away in England the weekend before and just simply don't have enough wife points to even consider it.

Can't wait to see how it pans out although I ink capping the scale at 5 might not be enough to deter people from taking über filth. Am I right in thinking you can take more tha the five scale points and still be append at 5 or did I read that wrong?

I am hoping the intention was to only allow armies to build lists up to 5 otherwise folks can max out totally on filth with no penalty for going completely OTT

@Hugh, Darren, Jason, Dave, Eoin, Barry, James: names added lads

@Ciaran: that's a shame, I was genuinely very curious to see what you had planned too

Kevin: sorry you can't make it, I know it probably doesn't help that I'm a bit late putting the date out, my apologies on that front. As for the cap of SCALE thing, yes you're right players can go for absolute filth and still only get capped at 5. I had a very long think through this limit (which was originally 10) but in the end I decided that the original limit was actually too prohibitive. At this level I found myself struggling to decide what kind of list I would actually bring if I were trying to win the thing, so I figured it was probably a good place to cut it. I guess the results will tell the story one way or another...

Wow that comp really hates on skinks!

I presume that blowpipes count for 2 shots?

Pop me down for this one Rob, last years event was awesome.

Cheers John John, I'll add you as well.

Yeah, it's a bit harsh on skinks, It basically works out so that 3 units of 10 skinks and a unit of 5 chamos is a single 'nasty'. On the plus side, the scenarios should hopefully help (there's a general push towards forcing people out of the 'bubble', so things with high ld and quick things which can force panic checks should benefit). Also, you can add more with javelins, razordons, ancient stegs, which don't count towards that limit.

Rob just to clarify according to the current rules pack if I take a 0 point list and play a 5 point list and win 20-nil I can get 25 points instead of 20 anyone else man enough?

You know what, yeah why not. The omission of the cap at 20 was an accidental omission of the versioning process but having thought about it, I'm going to take a leaf from Jervis Johnson's book on this one and roll with it. I will say that you can never score negative TPs from a game though, so in your hypothetical the score becomes 25-0.

More incentive again for people to rock a wacky list hopefully.
