Ok folks, with Warpcon at the doorstep (do you say something like this in English??) I had a look at my army and checked what needs doing:

Red: Not even started painting yet
Orange: WIP

5 Assault Terminator Arm-Pairs
1 Razorback
1 normal Backpack for Libbi
Honourguard with Jumppack

5 Assault Marines without Jumppack
8 DC guys
1 Rhino for DC

It will be tough to finish that all up by WarpCon, but I'll give my best. Starting with the Deathcompany (the black is finished):

Hey you were carrying the solution to the problem with you on Sat.

Burkhardt has no concept of what this means.

With 4 weeks to go for Warpcon I checked again what's still to be done:

5 Assault Terminator Arm-Pairs
1 Razorback
1 normal Backpack for Libbi
Honourguard with Jumppack
(not even started)
5 Assault Marines without Jumppack (WIP)
8 DC guys
1 Rhino for DC
(just finished)

And this is my army as of today:

Truth be told General the photos of the death company do not do them to many favours as they look almost dry brushed. They look a lot better in real life

@StuffAndThings: Yes, it's hard to get black pictured right. It loses a lot of contrast. At least if I take a picture.

Now, it's 4 days till Warpcon. And I still think I will go. But...Family has been ill for the last 10 days so almost no painting done. Well, at least it's better than last year when we all caught the (Swine?)flu a few days before Warpcon. Anyways, a lot of stuff still to be done:

5 Assault Terminator Arm-Pairs
1 Razorback
1 normal Backpack for Libbi
Honourguard with Jumppacks
5 Assault Marines without Jumppack
a few bits and pieces
(WIP)

Well, at least everything has reached WIP status.

Will be a few long (or short) nights.

Post Re: [40k] LeGenerals Eldar and Blood Angels
So, Warpcon is over and I finished up my army in time for the tournament.

I would like to thank Lenny, Phil, Daniel, Peter and John for 5 really nice games. And sorry to Phil and Peter for being that lucky :-). Also thanks to all who organised it. Well done lads and if I'm still in Ireland next year I will come again.

It was a great weekend and also fairly succesful. I came 9th out of the 54 which I'm very happy with, especially seeing that my list is not the typical spam of approved units. I also managed to steal the Best Painted Award, which I'm pretty happy with either, especially seeing that there were some really nicely painted armies out there. Thanks a lot!

Also great for me was to put a face to a few forum names!

Now it starts again for me to think what I'm going to paint next, without any pressure. Things I would like to add to my army are a Furioso Librarian, a Land Raider, Droppod(s) and Trikes. Maybe the odd special character and a Vangguard (yes Eoin, I'm looking at you there). But let's see. I might also start my Protectorate of Menoth (Warmachine) army.

Last but not least, since this is my painting blog, an updated group picture of my army:

Image

Thanks again for a great tournament and I hope to see you all again soon.

Cheers
General

You need to type it with a 'w' Burkhardt.

How you spell Harlequin the way he pronounces it? Harl-e-keen? Harl-e-kin? Is the k too harsh? Or would you have to stipulate the 'q' is pronounced like a Chinaman speaks it with the toungue pressed against the teeth as in 'qin'?

Ah well, there's always Wanguard. Will you add some of them to your list next, Herr Flemer?

In the moment I'm thinking of something completely different. Have to give it a few test games though.

Maybe it was Mark runnning around and shouting "shoot the pretty stuff", but I didn't have the feeling you were holding back in any way :-).

So, I'm done with 6th ed and I want to sell my armies. I thought about it for a long time but now I want to make that step.

Before I go to ebay I wanted to post it up here. If anyone is interested just drop me a message with an offer for one (or both) of the following armies. I don't sell single models/units/parts of an army.

Blood Angels Army, ~1800-2000p painted Image

Eldar Army, ~1500-1700p painted
Image

Generally, I could paint one or two units as a commission after sale is agreed in order to adjust the army to 6th ed.

So let me know if your interested or if you have any questions.

Cheers
Burkhardt
